Start with the official material
IRCC bases its questions on Discover Canada. The guide is free in several formats, including online text, PDF and audio. Cover the whole guide; a practice website is a supplement, and our questions are not the actual exam questions.
Read, recall, then check
Choose a short section. After reading it, close the guide and explain the main idea in your own words. Then check what you missed. For dates and institutions, include what happened or what each institution does, rather than memorizing a name alone.
Turn mistakes into a study task
Answer a practice set before reading its feedback. For each error, identify why your answer was tempting and what distinguishes the correct answer. Use the linked official source where one is provided. Our mistake-review tool lets you retry incorrect and unanswered questions without changing your original score.
Return to difficult questions
Your practice page saves completed results and missed questions in this browser. A correct revision answer schedules another review after 1, 3, then 7 days. This is a way to organize study, not a validated prediction of passing. Browser data can be cleared and does not sync between devices.
Practise the format
The official test has 20 multiple-choice or true-or-false questions, lasts 45 minutes and requires 15 correct answers. It is available in English or French. Our free simulator uses the same question count and time allowance. A high practice score does not guarantee an official result.
Follow your own invitation
Use IRCC’s current instructions for identification, equipment, permitted assistance and test timing. Our study routine is optional advice. Before buying Premium, try the free tools and read the pricing and refund terms; each question in our English and French banks includes an explanation and a source link.
Put your reading into practice
Start with the free exam. If you want more practice, Premium is $14.99 CAD once. We are an independent service; read the official guide and our purchase terms.
PassCitizenshipTest.ca is an independent study and practice tool. It is not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. The official study guide is Discover Canada, available free from the Government of Canada. Read the official guide.
