Canadian citizenship test pass rate versus passing score
The official passing score is 15 out of 20 (75%). That is a requirement for one test, not a claim that 75% of applicants pass.

Two different measures
A passing score tells you how many answers must be correct. A pass rate tells you what proportion of a defined group passed. A meaningful pass-rate statistic needs a source, time period, sample and definition of first or later attempts.

Our score reports show your answers to the practice questions you attempted. They are not an official IRCC score or a prediction of citizenship approval. We do not have audited evidence supporting a customer pass-rate claim.
Use practice to find gaps
Read the official guide, attempt a fresh test and list the topics you missed. Revisit those chapters and explain the correct answers in your own words. Repeated high scores on unfamiliar questions can help you judge your preparation, but do not guarantee a pass.
Official results
The test lasts 45 minutes and contains 20 questions. You need 15 correct answers. Your initial online result is unofficial until reviewed by IRCC. You have up to three attempts within your 30-day test period; after three unsuccessful attempts IRCC invites you to a hearing.
